Sea-Doo to debut first PWC on-water braking system
BRP is back at Melbourne Boat Show in 2009 with the first ever on-water PWC braking system in the Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS.
Already the winner of six prestigious awards including the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMAA) Innovation award, the new model is a big attraction at the Show, which runs from 2 to 6 July at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
The revolutionary new Sea-Doo GTX Limited iS watercraft features new technologies developed to dramatically improve the on-water experience for the operator.
It features iControl, an advanced computer control technology that integrates the world’s first on-water braking system with intelligent Brake and Reserve (iBR) and rider suspension system with iS (intelligent Suspension) to give the rider more control then ever before.
In addition to the first on-water braking system and full rider suspension, it features Sea-Doo’s S3 hull, billed as the first high performance stepped hull design in watercraft history.
Also featuring at the show is the latest additions to the Evinrude E-TEC range including the smallest of low emission outboard motors with the introduction of the 25hp and 30hp engines, the world’s smallest production direct-injection outboards.
The new engines are easy to own and operate, their lightweight design making them easy to fit and transport. The quiet, environmentally friendly E-TEC design produces extremely low carbon monoxide at idle, low particle emissions, and no crankcase oil to dispose of.
Melbourne Boat Show runs from Thursday 2 July to Monday 6 July at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Opening hours are 10am to 9pm daily except Sunday, when the show closes at 7pm, and Monday when it closes at 8pm.
